Skipping the introduction, because I'm lazy like that. I'm not sitting in the family room watching Jungle Book while I'm writing this. "It's a man cub." Im laughing my head off on the inside. So yes, This is a poem I wrote for school (Got an A on it by the way.)

A Friend?


Well, gee, let’s think…
Why do you miss me?
Should we be talking?

Then:
You were my best friend
We couldn’t be silent
Even when we were told to.
We treated our separate families as one.
It was a utopia.
When both of your hamsters died
We danced on the grave of your hated hamster.
When we met someone new
We couldn’t stay away
We couldn’t be apart
Not only for a day.
I'd show you how to build your fences,
Set restrictions, separate from the world

Now:
In words
Hate is strong
So is lie.
You got to be extra careful with
The things that you say.
You got to be extra careful with
The things that are closest and dearest to you.
You never know what you’ll end up with.
A language universal
It seems you don’t speak its tongue

And now you can't turn backThis road is all you'll ever have
A heart of betrayal never goes well with
